Content Marketing Beginner? Here’s what you need to know

Though a lot has been said and discussed about content in the past few years, people are still
alienated with the power of content for their business. As a web development company in
India, we often work with clients who are unaware and wonder how good content can
contribute in their business marketing.

Here are the current content marketing stats by Slideshare.

With so much content already on the internet by their contemporaries, it is somehow difficult
to figure out from where to start. But the misconception that quantity of content overlaps
everything else doesn't always stands true.

If you are new to content, here are a few things you should now:

1. Creating good content is as important as distributing it.
Unfortunately, good content doesn’t promote itself if not handled at an initial state.
Though, Google’s intent feature has been working strongly with the Panda algorithm, you
still need a strategy to move forward with.

2. It is about taking baby steps. Since your business is new and your competition
have been way ahead of you in creating and distributing content, you can still catch up.
No matter where you stand today, with the right kind of content, you can be seen up
in the charts.

3. Content is for the long run and is solely responsible to attract interested buyers to
your service, by offering them value in exchange. Content is not a sales pitch. Creating good
content is not just a matter of minutes where you have to fetch the interested buyer and
make a deal.

Here’s why content is considered as the king:

1. It is cost effective:

Unlike any their marketing method, you don’t have to put up hoardings and spend a bomb
in advertising. You can be sitting at the corner of your desk and influencing millions
of people around the world with minimalist budget.

2. Permanence and scale

Assuming that you are creating evergreen content, your content will become an asset for
your business, constantly yielding results for you. Another thing is that content marketing
is highly scalable. This simply means that you can start from an entry level today
and steadily increase your budget as you go.

3. Multi-use functionality

Content marketing doesn’t end content creation and distribution, it can be used to run other
marketing strategies as well like SEO, email marketing and social media marketing.

This is a short list of some of the most important ingredients:

On-site blog posts. Aim for a long, well written piece when you are starting out

a new campaign with lots of multimedia content like videos and images. Since you are

just starting out, try to do different types of content and see how your audience responds to it.

Guest posting. Guest posting can never get old. Posting content on websites that have a
traffic is a good idea. Make sure you’re featured on at least a handful of external sites.

Posting on Social Media. Send regular updates on your social media account to
reach a wider audience. It’s free and just takes only a few minutes.

Audience Support. To make your marketing strategies to work, it is important to have
an audience that appreciates your work. Ask for their support and send out posts asking them
what kind of content do they want to see.
Other than all the factors above, it is important for you to make efforts in SEO and other
complementary strategies to get the best results. Creating good content is hard but with
the right strategies you can nail any other type of traditional marketing methods
without increasing your budget.

  1. Nice Blog. Content marketing, on the other hand, is the blend that works hard to create, distribute and publish contents. The basic motto of Content Writing Agency is to establish your business authority in your domain of expertise.
